Mary Poppins Tickets – Celebrating the Magic of Mary
There isn't an audience member – aged two to 202 – that doesn't leave the final curtain of Mary Poppins without some kind of connection to all the magical moments of Mary and her story. On stage this year in New York City; Melbourne, Australia; Scheveningen, Netherlands and throughout North America, Mary Poppins has been impressing patrons for decades.
It might not be a modern story, or set in modern times, but that doesn't mean that Mary Poppins can't relate to today's world. With her flying umbrella in hand, Mary Poppins tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/ will ignite a passion in all of your family members this year.
With shows around the world, Mary Poppins celebrated a milestone in the United States when it opened its April 2010 performance this year. Just a year ago the North American tour of Mary Poppins premiered at Chicago's Cadillac Palace – and a year later the musical has earned $52 million at box offices. Produced by Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh, the North American tour has just visited eight cities including Cleveland, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles, with over 762,000 theatergoers in overall attendance.
The Broadway show has just as much to celebrate – three years worth of celebration, to be exact. As one of the top grossing shows on Broadway, Mary Poppins first opened at the New Amsterdam Theatre in November 2006 and has since attracted two million fans. Broadway's production has most recently welcomed new cast members in West End's Olivier Award winner Laura Michelle Kelly as Mary and Tony Award nominee Christian Borle. The two join the newest set of the Banks children who began in early June – a set of six children are expected to rotate the role of Jane and Michael Banks, reports Playbill.com, with all three Michaels making their Broadway debut. Directed by Richard Eyre, the show features choreography and co-direction by Matthew Bourne and a book by Julian Fellowes.
Reprising their roles for the national tour are Caroline Sheen from the UK production and Gavis Lee from the London and Broadway production, who play the famous nanny and chimney sweep respectively and who have helped woo the crowd into a magical frenzy. Singing catchy licks both from the 1964 film starring Julie Andrews and new songs from George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, audiences from all over the country are singing along with Bert and Mary.
Mary Poppins has been a children's pastime since P.L. Travers wrote her series of children's books beginning in 1934. Travers' stories were turned into the well-known Disney film in 1964 starring the affable Andrews, and eventually into the first musical at West End in 2004. The Broadway premiere earned the show seven Tony Award nominations and won for Best Scenic Design, signifying that Mary Poppins is still one of the best onstage stories ever told.
Variety writes that the show is "an unwavering treat that feels as if it were written for this very moment," and is sure to be a spectacular treat for the entire family.

Who else loves Mary Higgins Clark...even though she is so popular and everyone reads her books?
I love Mary Higgins Clark. She is one of my favorite authors. My favorites are All Around the Town and Remember Me.
I enjoy reading her as well. My two favorites are Weep No More My Lady and Two Little Girls in Blue. I have read All Around the Town and Remember Me. I really liked Remember Me. Although some of hers are a little cliche. A prominent woman figure in New York or its surroundings with two love interests, one is the killer and one is not, and the character mistakes the non-killer as the killer. Too many are like that. That's why I loved Two Little Girls in Blue. It wasn't in that formula. I couldn't stand No Place Like Home. I figured out the true culprit in the first chapter and I never can do that. But she's still the Queen of Suspense to me.
